At CISOLT, we believe that the best solutions to local challenges don’t come from an office—they come from the residents of Machinga themselves. This is why we utilize Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA).

Recently, we’ve used this methodology to help village committees identify their own resources and needs. Rather than simply bringing external solutions, we work with the community to ensure that every project—from healthcare access to water security—is locally owned and sustainable. By narrowing the gap between society and duty bearers, we are helping citizens claim their developmental rights.
